Irish Pharmacy Union Reg AGM-55 Rory O’ Donnell, (left) President of the Irish Pharmacy Union (IPU) with Michael Tiernay, Tierney’s Pharmacy, Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow at the South East Regional AGM of the IPU which discussed expanding the role of the pharmacist and the benefits for both patients and the State in allowing pharmacists to provide additional key services including chronic disease management, health screening and treating minor ailments. These services will not only improve health outcomes for patients but will also deliver efficiencies and savings for the Exchequer.
